  • Usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited) when you interact with our website
  • Chat data when you use our chat widget
  • Customer and visitor data that businesses using Chatisto store in their workspaces: name, email address, country, IP address, browser and device, pages visited, form answers, contact properties and conversation messages
  • Team member data for people who work in a workspace, such as their name and email address
  • Payment information when you make a purchase (processed securely by our payment processor, Paddle)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Improve and personalize our services
  • Communicate with you about our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website, authenticate users, and display our chat widget. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect the functionality of our services.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers and data processors (detailed in section 5)
  • Legal authorities when required by law
  • Business partners with your consent
  • AI assistants you connect to Chatisto, such as ChatGPT

If you connect an AI assistant, it can read and change data in the workspaces you can access when you ask it to. This can include conversations, customer names, email addresses, form answers, team member names, chatbot flows and knowledge base content. The data it receives is sent to the provider of that assistant and is handled under that provider's terms. You can disconnect the assistant at any time.

5. Data Processors

We use the following data processors to help us provide and improve our services:

  • Hetzner: For hosting our services
  • Cloudflare: For server infrastructure and content delivery
  • Mailgun: For email delivery
  • Google Ads: For advertising and marketing purposes
  • OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic, and Amazon Web Services: For AI and machine learning services
  • Paddle: For payment processing
  • Posthog: For product analytics and user behavior tracking

All our data processors have been carefully selected and are compliant with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. We have data processing agreements in place with each of these processors to ensure the security and proper handling of your data.

6. Data Retention and Security

We keep account, workspace, customer and conversation data until you delete it or ask us to delete it. When a contact or a workspace is deleted, its data is removed from our live systems straight away and from our backups within 7 days.

To delete your account or make a data request, email info@chatisto.com. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
